The ISS offers 12 undergraduate courses mainly focusing on Norwegian language, culture and society, and 8 graduate level courses centered on topics of broad international interest. In 2009, ISS welcomed 535 regular students from 81 different countries to six intensive weeks both in and out of the classroom.
Application, deadline and scholarships
The application form can be requested through the website here. Scholarship applicants must apply before February 1, 2010, but self-paying/sponsored applicants may apply laterand will be admitted as long as there is space available.
The International Summer School offers two types scholarships for European applicants. The first type is awarded primarily to applicants who study Norwegian language, culture or politics in their home country. The second type is awarded to applicants from Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, for any course.
